Go Guernsey Land & Sea is a locally owned outdoor activity company run by Phil and Trudy Le Poidevin. Since purchasing an existing bike hire business in 2015, we’ve expanded to include sea-based activities and e-bikes, becoming the island’s largest and longest-established bike hire provider. Each year, we grow and continue to deliver expert, quality service.
As Guernsey locals, we’ve spent our lives exploring the island’s unique environment, wildlife, and hidden gems. Having traveled extensively, we know how important it is to offer eco-friendly and socially responsible services so you can fully enjoy your time here. We’re passionate supporters of local charities and proud members of the Guernsey Bicycle Group (GBG), La Société Guernesiaise (our local National Trust), and The Ramsar Convention for wetland conservation.
Cycling is one of the best ways to experience Guernsey’s countryside, people, and places at your own pace. Hop on a bike, and you’re ready to explore! For those drawn to the sea, Phil is in his element leading Go Guernsey Sea Adventures. With over 12 years of guiding experience along the coastline, he’s a qualified NCC (National Coasteering Charter) and BCU (British Canoe Union) instructor, with training in first aid, VHF radio use, and more.
Every bicycle in our fleet is professionally maintained and safety-checked before hire, and all sea activity equipment is sourced from trusted dealers. Both Phil and Trudy are trained in bicycle fleet management by the Cycle Touring Club (CTC), with Phil also holding a Level 2 qualification in cycle maintenance from Cycle Systems. Go Guernsey Land & Sea is fully insured, and our safety practices meet the equivalent standards of the Adventure Activities Licensing Authority (AALA), as confirmed by the States of Guernsey Health & Safety Inspector.
