About us
Go Guernsey Land & Sea is an independent outdoor activity company owned by Phil and Trudy Le Poidevin. The business was purchased in 2015 as an already existing bike hire company, in 2017 sea-based activities and e bikes were added and we haven’t looked back since! We are now the island’s largest and longest established bike hire company, growing yearly and providing an expert and quality service for our customers.
We both grew up in Guernsey, exploring and experiencing all it has to offer and learning about the unique environment, wildlife and flora we have here along with some great hidden spots and adventures along the way. After a lot of travelling ourselves, we understand that doing the best we can to provide an eco-friendly and socially aware business whilst you make the most of your time in Guernsey is what it’s all about. We have a shared interest in many local charities and are longstanding members of the Guernsey Bicycle Group (GBG) works towards safe and fun cycling for all, La Societe Guernesiaise (a local version of The National Trust) and The Ramsar Convention (for the conservation and sustainable use of wetlands) and will do what they can to work with these and any other individuals, charities or businesses to ensure Guernsey is a happy and healthy place!!!!
I’m sure you’ll agree after your time in Guernsey cycling is a great way of exploring the heart of Guernsey, it’s countryside, people and places is by bike, at your own pace, so easy to hop on and off along the way!! Phil is in his element guiding you on one of our Go Guernsey Sea Adventures, he’ll enjoy it as much as you will with his relaxed, exuberant and happy persona. He is up to date with qualifications set out by the NCC ( National Coasteering Charter) and BCU ( British Canoe Union), St John’s Ambulance First Aid and VHF radio courses and has 12 years experience in guiding along Guernsey’s coastline. Go Guernsey Land and Sea are fully insured with a reputable broker. Both Phil and Trudy have been trained in bicycle fleet management by the CTC ( Cycle Touring Club). Phil is also qualified with Cycle Systems in QCF VRQ Cycle Maintenance Level 2. Every bicycle is constantly maintained and fully safety checked before each hire, we only provide products we’d feel safe using ourselves. This also applies to our sea-based activity equipment, purchased from reputable dealers only.

As for the future, we will grow our business whilst never compromising on quality and service. We reinvest yearly in our stock so we can be confident and take pride in our services. The most important thing to us is to give a great experience and to have fun in our work whilst doing that!!
